Student Resources

Student Expectations

At FES, we expect each of our students from Pre-K- 5th grade, to be active participants in their learning. As a school, it is our responsibility to explicitly teach the problem solving and critical thinking skills that will empower FES students to become wise leaders and change agents within their community.

FES students are encouraged to practice using critical thinking skills everyday and ask for help when needed.

Student Incentive Program

We know that schools are successful when they help children grow academically, socially, and emotionally. For this to happen, it is imperative that we have a safe environment that is supportive and conducive to growth. By setting forth clear social and behavioral expectations, it is our goal to create this atmosphere for learning.

Students will have the opportunity to earn incentives based on their ability to uphold the FES values and their affirmations:
We are Wise
We are Aware
We are Leaders
We are Fearless
We are Supportive

Weekly Incentives: These are incentives provided by classroom teachers each week. Students will need to earn a number of Class Dojo points in order to meet their incentive goals weekly.

Monthly Incentives: These are incentives provided by and recognized by teachers and school administrators each month. In order to be nominated for a monthly incentive, students must meet their weekly point goals and be nominated by their grade level teachers. Students who are recognized as “Students of the Month” are featured on display boards throughout our halls.
